Deleting stale/inactive Office Communications Server 2007 Users

I was just given the honor of becoming my company’s OCS 2007 R2 admin. Yay! Well, my plan is to get to the latest and greatest sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, I noticed that we use a script to add and enable AD User Accounts their SIP addresses, etc.

I also see that we have never cleaned up after a user leaves the company. So we have years of SIP enabled users in the OCS 2007 MMC.

Does anyone have any ideas, best practices, scripts that I could run to remove Communicator accounts that haven’t been touched in say 30, 60 or 120 days?

My understanding is that deleting OCS Enabled user accounts in the OCS MMC will not delete the AD Account, which shouldn’t exist, but just in case.

Thanks in advance.
