files erase after uninstall
One of my users installed Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android right after install looks like the program start to delete folder and files
the user uninstalled the program and all desktop files/folders disappear .
I run file scavenger and did not see the files erased neither on the program or on the recycle bin .
very strange ..any clues how to recover ?

Restore from backup. Hopefully there is a recent one.
It sounds like you are talking about a PC and I'm guessing Windows based?
If thats the case and you want to try to recover deleted files using available software your first order of business is to shutdown the computer and don't use it. The more you use the disk the greater the chances are that the deleted files will be fully or partially over written.
I've not used file scavenger before but have used a couple others. Some of the better ones have an option to make a copy of the hard drive that you can then work on in read only mode. That way you don't impact the original disk. The one I've used in the past is Active@File Recovery though I haven't used it in a few years.

There may be better ones out there.

The other option (besides restore from backup) is sending it to a recovery specialist. They may have better luck but are also typically much more expensive.

Thanks !
1) Pc windows 7 pro
2) I checked the recycle bin : no files
3) Run file scavenger (which I used in many other computers ) and it shows some of the files erased but not all of them , some were created same day . Very strange . Folders and files not showing ,
So any other solutions ?
option to send to recovery no good . got same results with file scavenger (unless disk is not bootable)
option diff software : what is the best recovery software ?
We got an acronis backup that is corrupted (bad luck ?)
Thanks

Where did the user download the Dr. Fone application from?
It is described as "The World's 1st Android Data Recovery for Smartphones & Tablets" and is available as:

OR
2. An application for PC (WinXP to 10) and Mac OS 10.10:

I can't see any reason why this application should have started deleting Windows and user files from a PC during installation or uninstallation, so I am wondering if this may have been a malicious rogue version of the application.
