Hi All,

This might be a simple solution but not sure how to do it. We have new owners and we have recently changed our name. I created an alias on our Exchange to reflect our new name and also got a new ssl cert for it. My question is how do I redirect our site internally from https://name1.org/owa to https://name2.org/owa? Need to change it so we could install the new cert. We have shortcuts on all our end users pc (about 1000 users) for the https://name1 and we don't want to change it on each of them. Please advise. Thanks.

If you are running a DNS server then you could make an alias entry.

Not sure that'll work because we're trying to go from mail.name1.org to mail.name2.org. It's not the same name as our current Domain.

If the workstations have been moved from name1.org to name2.org domain then they should be using the DNS server for name2.org.  On that DNS server you can put an alias for mail.name1.org to point to the same IP as mail.name2.org.

The alternative is to create a new shortcut that you could push out using GPO.  Here is a good tutorial on how to do this:  http://pc-addicts.com/server-2012-deploy-desktop-shortcuts-using-group-policy/
