Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 11
we are running exchange 2010 sp3 ru8v2. the OS is windows 12 datacenter. anytime I attempt to install sp3 ru11 it fails to install. we are running wmf 3. can someone let know where I can review the install logs to see why the update is failing. also does anyone have any suggestio as to why that update may be failing.

If you downloaded it from the net as a standalone,do not use a 3rd party compression utility to extract(Winzip/Winrar).
Run it as a standalone (as admin) and let it self extract and then run it.
Just out of curiosity,are you running it on 2012r2?

This allowed me to perform the install without any issues.
FYI,if you're running SBS 08 or 11,it pops an error complaining about the SBS monitoring service and you need to stop it before it will continue.
It also busted my VSS service providers and I had to reregister the VSS writers(this was ru12 though).
