Using O365 outlook and Skype for Business online, Presence Status is not updating according to Calendar

All of our users have their mailbox in O365 and Skype for Business online. Skype functions such as Chat, screen sharing and file transfer are working properly. What is not working is Skype presence status is not updating properly when the user's calendar shows they are in a meeting.
I have confirmed the Skype client has MS set as the PIM.
User's proxy address included the Sip entry.
Sip entry is same as email address.
Skype Configuration EWS Information show EWS is not deployed.

Any suggestions on how I can get the Skype for Business presence status settings to update with calendar entries?

First of all, check if presence is visible in OWA.

I did open a ticket and we are in process of troubleshooting. One thing that was mentioned was in that my user's "Skype for Business Configuration Information"  EWS Information field showed "EWS not deployed". The MS tech indicated this should not be this status, I believe he said it should be EWS Information should show "OK".

Can anyone tell me what their EWS Information field shows in the Skype for Business Configuration Information?
It depends, but in general for O365 it should indeed be on "EWS Status OK"
