If not, you will need to use a valid activation key and change the key in System Properties to the new key and then activate.

From a DOS Command Prompt: slmgr /ato <br />
&nbsp; Which will renew the Windows Activation.<br />

if that doesn't fix it then <br />

From a Machine that is activated,<br />
<br />
1.) Go to the path: C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles<wbr />\NetworkSe<wbr />rvice\AppD<wbr />ata\Roamin<wbr />g\Microsof<wbr />t\Software<wbr />Protection<wbr />Platform<br />
and get a copy of the tokens.dat file.<br />
2.)On the machine with the activation issue again go to the path:<br />
&nbsp;C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles<wbr />\NetworkSe<wbr />rvice\AppD<wbr />ata\Roamin<wbr />g\Microsof<wbr />t\Software<wbr />Protection<wbr />Platform<br />
3.)<br />
Rename tokens.dat to tokens.old &nbsp; .<br />

Copy &nbsp;the token.dat from the &nbsp;activated machine into the folder.<br />
4.)<br />
&nbsp; Again Activate using slmgr command from DOS &nbsp; by typing in - slmgr –ato &nbsp; then &nbsp; <br />
5.)<br />
Check Activation , slmgr /xpr <br />
or<br />
Start , type: msconfig, Enter.<br />
Tools &nbsp;Tab, &nbsp;Click System Properties, then Launch.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;You will see a Windows Activation which should report Windows is activated.

I have a user Computer that says Windows is not activated. It is a computer that was not imaged and problems started on Monday and error boxes have increased in size according to the user each day. I tried to make it activate online but I got the error code 0xC004F074 and when I click More Information the Description:<br />
&quot;The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.&quot;<br />
When I looked up the error online it says it may be time settings are not within four hours of each other but it looks like the computer here is set to the correct time. Any ideas to get this computer activated?<br />
