SMS support has been removed since Outlook 2013 and there is no workaround unless you subscribe for third-party SMS service to install their plugin / addon to send and receive SMS.

It was possible for us to send SMS messages directly from our Outlook 2010 client using Exchange 2010. <br />
<br />
Now that we have upgraded to Outlook 2013/2016 client and Exchange 2016 server, is this still possible?<br />
<br />

It was possible for us to send SMS messages directly from our Outlook 2010 client using Exchange 2010. 

Now that we have upgraded to Outlook 2013/2016 client and Exchange 2016 server, is this still possible?
