First an apology as I remember JSRWilson pointing me in the right direction on this some years ago and I can't find it now :(<br />

How can I, with VBA, create a shape on a Slide at design time that has:<br />
A specified Left position<br />
A specified Top position<br />
A specified Length<br />
A specified Height<br />
A specified Color<br />
A name (so it can be programmatically referred to later)<br />

Thanks. I know it's a Hello World, but it will get interesting in stage 2 and beyond :)

PowerPoint VBA - simple shapes

PowerPoint is a slide show presentation program currently developed by Microsoft. PowerPoint presentations consist of a number of individual pages or "slides" that may contain text, graphics, sound, movies, and other objects, which may be arranged freely. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) enables building user-defined functions (UDFs), automating processes and accessing Windows API and other low-level functionality through dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). VBA is closely related to Visual Basic and uses the Visual Basic Runtime Library, but it can normally only run code within a host application rather than as a standalone program. It can, however, be used to control one application from another via OLE Automation. VBA is built into most Microsoft Office applications.
