migrate user mailboxes
Hi Experts,
I have to migrate some user mailboxes.
All mailboxes on server EXCH01. They have to be migrated because this server goes down for ever.
My new server EXCH02 is in another domain.
Can you help what I have to do that a user on a terminal server can reach his mailbox ?

Users do not need to be migrated.
Because just the mailbox will move to another exch in another domain.
The user stays in the old domain, logs in via RDP and open his outlook.
But the mailbox is in the other domain.
Since now I have setup the accepted domain and the email addresses.
is it possible just to export and import the mailbox and not the user ?

it is called linked mailbox
it provided your exchange is reachable from TS, you just need to move the mailbox in linked mode, then you update your autodiscover to point to the new location.

I did, when you check my previous answer

* Are these 2 domains part of the same forest? -> no
* What version of Exchange are you running? -> EXCH2007
* If this sounds anything like a cross-forest move -> it is a kind of mailbox migration and consolidate the EXCH server. Now ech doamin has its own EXCH server. And we go for just one EXCH in one domain.
Both domains are connected to my firewall and seperated.
