HP MicroServer G8 G1610T vs. QNAP-TS-451 as HTPC and NAS ?
All,
I'm looking to build HTPC with 4x HDD so I'd like to know what's your comemnts regarding:
HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 G1610T
Quick Specs:
http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04128132.pdf
http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04123182.pdf?ver=17
QNAP-TS-451
Website:
https://www.qnap.com/i/au/product/model.php?II=143
Which one is capable of playing 4K UHD movie to my LED monitors?
I understand that HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 G1610T doesn't have HDMI so I'll be streaming it with 3rd partya apps.
I assume both models can use normal DDR3 RAM and also 3'5" SATA HDD of any brands.
Any clarification and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Well, the streaming that I want is just to Screen cast or mirror view it to the Samsung LED TV via WLAN.
if that's impossible then I can just Connect using hdmi directly I suppose.
In regards to the NAS feature, does it possible to run NFS for VMWare VMFS data store in second LUN ?
First LUN is for HTPC.

Somehow when I read the review in Amazon, it cannot render or play HD 1080p movies properly due to its CPU just Celeron ?
