Exchange 2013 Install permissions

I have logged in to windows server 2012 (member of windows domain)with a user account which is member of Enterprise Admins, Schema Admins,Domain admins groups.
however I still keep getting the privileges error displayed on the screenshot below.
This is the first server I am trying to install Exchange 2013 on, there is no other server in the domain that has Exchange 2013 installed on yet.

Thank you

I run  Setup.exe /prepareSchema /IacceptExchangeserverlicenseterms
and got : Could not find the Enterprise organization container

I went to ADUC and deleted a container that had exchange name on it
I opened ADSIEdit and deleted a container that has the name of Exchange on it

I rerun :  Setup.exe /prepareSchema /IacceptExchangeserverlicenseterms
it seems like it is going well so far...I need to wait and hopefully no error will be thrown out

Have you selected CAS role during the Installation? This looks like you don't have CAS installed at all.

I did tick both Mailbox and CAS Roles ... and there was no failure in the install..
I am trying to install it on a Domain Controller since it is a Test Lab, I am not sure if it is the DC that is causing the problem
Mohammed Hamada

I have never installed it on the DC but I recommend that before you install it there you should delete the one you installed prior to proceeding.

You can simply shut down Exchange server and delete it from ADSI Edit (Since it's Lab).

Oufff..Finaly I got it to work

After I ran this from the command prompt:
Setup.exe /prepareSchema /IacceptExchangeserverlicenseterms
It completed  successfully
However I still had to double click on the Setup file of exchange to run it , then download
and install the files requested separately from the Exchange package I extracted.

I still kept getting IIS issues, I am not sure if increasing the RAM to 6GB from 2GB, that has resolved the issue or it was just coincidence

Ofcourse it is related to memory .. the minimum required ram for exchange to work is 8GB and recommended is 32 GB.

That's why you didn't have CAS Installed although you selected the CAS role. The Exchange setup seems to have checked your VM's resources and decided to only install MBX role.

That's one smart thing Microsoft has done on the setup side but they surely don't show a warning or alert anywhere ..

Glad your issue has been resolved
