Can mls qos global command on 3750 be disruptive?

I need to issue this command before I can put qos on a specific port in production switch. Is there risk it could interfere with production traffic?

I know that console usually frozes at least for a few seconds when command # mls qos is issued, but not sure about effect on traffic (although I think that there is no effect on traffic, just on console drawing since CPU is bussy), but on high traffic situation where CPU is already utilized there could be some effect.

What I found in practice was that my version of IOS had a bug in it and this disrupted some traffic. But I think your answer is generally correct that it normally shouldn't disrupt traffic.
