hello Everyone,
My friend Free Avast says expired after 365 days. They are asking to renew it. My friend doesn't want to pay for it. What it is going to happen ?
1) Avast stop working unless you pay
2) it's just a marketing strategy to push you to upgrade and pay for the paid version
3) Avast will keep updating the definition, just disregard the annoying pop up window
4) uninstall the old Avast, reinstall it, and re register with a different email so she will be good for another year ?
Which one would you recommend ?

I just had to do it again on another computer!!
Otherwise, AVG, Avira, or a 25/yr subscription to Malwarebytes is what I would suggest.
