Favicon is invisible when PDF report is opened up in the browser (Firefox and Chrome)

Hi experts,

We have a REST based product running on Tomcat application server using  Jersey Framework

The PDF report is dynamically generated and it resides in the following path in the server, which is being rendered in the browser (Firefox and Chrome). In this scenario we are running on a Windows machine.

C:\Software\apache-tomcat-8.0.14\webapps\idt-ws\reports\Data-Inconsistency-Report.pdf

The relevant URL for this PDF file is

http://localhost:8080/idt-ws/reports/Data-Inconsistency-Report.pdf

The front-end is built using pure HTML5, JSON, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap without using any server side technologies

Kind note : We are opening up the PDF report in a separate new browser tab

Where we are going wrong?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its a per user setting; but, I think you should try setting the option to print background images in Firefox and see if that helps:

If it does, we'll try Chrome next and you can push the setting(s) via GPO.

Hi Davis,

It shows up the Tomcat's Favicon instead of our application's custom Favicon
