asked on Uninstalling Java 8 from OS X El Captain version 10.11.13
Hi Folks,
I have a mac and I lately upgraded the OS to OS X El Captain version 10.11.13 and my eclipse stopped working. I was supposed to install Java 6 but without knowing properly I stalled Java 8 and I stuck now. I already used the following command to remove the Java 1.8JDK.
sudo rm -rf jdk1.8.0_25.jdk
But when I try to install the JavaForOSX2014-001.dmg. I still doesnt let me install as it warns there is already a higher version of java that exists. Please suggest.

I have already run that command, but it still says there is a higher version of java in the system.

I couldn't find the plug in when I searched, but still I am not able to install JavaForOSX2014-001.dmg.

The issue got fixed without my knowledge and I am not happy about it. But its all good now. Thanks for your help.
