Opening .cgi Files in DreawWeaver cc 2015

I would like to use Dreamweaver to edit .CGI files and to search/find/replace text within those files. Dreamweaver CC2015 does not recognize .cgi files. Is there a fix for this ?

Go to Edit | Preferences | File Types/Editors and map cgi to Dreamweaver.

Many thanks for the reply.  I have pulled up the page you pointed to but am not sure
exactly what entries I need to make. I have added the .cgi extension, but am confused as to what else is needed - like external application.  I have attached an image of the page that needs to be completed.

Thanks again

Add .cgi to the "Open in Code View" section.

In Windows, simply right-click a .cgi file and use the Open With dialog to force it to Dreamweaver.

On right click I get a pop up as per embedded image - as you see, I do not get 'Open With dialog' option. I am getting  Notepad++ as the recommendation.

I have inserted Notepad++ as the editor in Dreamweaver preferences. This works - launching the cgi within Dreamweaver utilizing Notepad. Maybe that's the best that can be done for windows 7.  Are you using windows 8 ?
