Wildcard help for adding antivirus exclusions on 2012 server

I’m doing antivirus scanning exclusions on a 2012r2 server according to this Microsoft article
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/822158

Beginning with the area that mentions turning off scanning of Sysvol stuff it lists files to exclude but says to exclude from %systemroot%\Sysvol\Domain “and all it’s subfolders”

(I copied part of the document at the bottom of this question)

The document then goes on to several other areas of exclusions and also mentions “and all it’s subfolders”

The thing is, some of these folders have a lot of subfolders. Adding the exclusion of those particular extensions for each subfolder can be a very large task. Some of the subfolders have subfolders.

My question is “is there a way to use wildcards to exclude the files they mention from “all subfolders”?

I’m thinking that most of these files don’t even make their way down the subfolders path and that this is some lazy technical writer’s way of finishing up his document.

Turn off scanning of files in the Sysvol\Sysvol folder.

The current location of the Sysvol\Sysvol folder and all its subfolders is the file system reparse target of the replica set root. The Sysvol\Sysvol folder uses the following location:
%systemroot%\Sysvol\Domain
Exclude the following files from this folder and all its subfolders:
•             *.adm
•             *.admx
•             *.adml
•             Registry.pol
•             *.aas
•             *.inf
•             Scripts.ini
•             *.ins
•             Oscfilter.ini
