Excel struggling to open

Good afternoon Experts..

two users in the office use an excel sheet (roughly 10MB in size) user 1 can open perfectly fine from the network share

user 2 cannot open, as this hangs and spends a long time trying to load the excel sheet, eventually hanging excel.

Machine was swapped for freshly imaged new machine.. problem persists under that users login.

I logged in with my account on the machine, opened the excel and this worked fine.

This then looks to be a roaming profile issue, I rename his V2 roaming profile folder, delete all traces of the profile from the computer, and log back in as user 2, PROBLEM PERSISTS with a brand new roaming profile V2.

Any thoughts?

Operating system is Windows 7 x64

Thanks

This was due to some data which had recently been copied in to the excel, which included many formulas. This has been removed now by the original user who inserted it, and opens fine.
