Do you mean timers that you create yourself in the application?

First ..... thank you very much for replying to my question.

I want to programmatically reset a timer that is running in another application.

This timer is a hard coded timer that logs us out of the application after 15 minutes of inactivity.

It is a nuisance.

I was hoping to create a small program that can run in the background that resets this timer to eliminate the nuisance.

What kind of application is it?

If it is a WinForms/WPF application, I doubt you will be able to achieve it unless because the controls are not available from outside the process.

If it is a web app, the problem is surely not the application but IIS. I remember a long time ago, one of my colleague used Ajax to create a "keep alive" state. Again, without having access to the source code, you won't be able to change the behavior.
