Bluetooth mouse not detected
I'm running Windows 10 on a Dell XPS L502x
I bought Microsoft's "Designer Bluetooth" mouse.
My phone (and tablet) can connect with the mouse via Bluetooth so I know the mouse works
My laptop can connect with my phone (and fitbit) via Bluetooth so I know the Bluetooth is "working"
Why cannot the laptop connect to the mouse via Bluetooth?

What happens instead? No notification sound when connecting?
you may have to pair the mouse using Setting ―> Devices.
Here is an article describing the process (Search for bluetooth on the page): Windows 10 Settings menu: The Devices tab

The article says to click on Connected Devices, then click on Add a Device. This initiates a scan to find anything that is not yet connected.
The Connected devices section is similar to the Printers & scanners section, just for devices that aren't printers or scanners. At the top of the screen you'll see an option to Add a device -- while most of your devices will not need to be manually added if they're plugged in, if you click this your PC will initiate a Bluetooth scan (mine picked up several cellphones from around my apartment complex).
Next, you'll see a list of currently connected devices under Other devices. These devices will include keyboards, mice, speakers, microphones, monitors, webcams and Bluetooth devices. Like the Printers & scanners section, all you can really do here is look at these devices and click on them if you want to remove them. At the bottom of the screen, in the Related settings section, you'll see links to the Devices and printers and Device manager windows.
