HP Proliant Management
I picked up a client that has a HP Proliant DL360 Gen 8 server. I am not very familiar with HP products at all. I am curious, So my questions would be:
1) Does HP have a management package much like Dell's OpenManage?
2) Where would I obtain the software for this?
3) Does this give the health of the hardware and allow me to manage things like the RAID/ Disks while
in Windows ?
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Besides that HP's usually have an ILO built in, something similar to Dell's iDRAC. With it, provided it is setup properly, you can manage servers remotely via a Web-Browser, even if the server itself is shutdown or the OS not running. It also shows you the status of the hardware.

Jose, thank you, however on this 2012 server I am only seeing HP system Management Homepage. Nothing more.
Rindi,
ILo is a good solution if the system is down, but I am trying to see health and possible perform new configurations while the system is up. Like adding more drives etc..
So that does not meet what I am looking for. Thank you

They changed the name in 2012 to HP Smart Storage Administrator
Here's a link to the download, I am pretty sure it's also in the SPP
HP Smart Storage Administrator (HP SSA) for Windows 64-bit

So it appears that it was never installed from day one. Can this be installed from any Smart Start CD after the fact? I tried to get the software from HP, but was denied as they did not see a valid support contract on this unit

Thank you Jose! After installing the software I was able to see and do everything I needed.
HP System Management Homepage Software
If the server is already up and running it may already be configured.
For RAID you would use the "HP Array Configuration Utility" which already be installed on the server assuming the person that built it used the HP SmartStart to build the server.
You should find this on the server
