I've used Veeam many times in the past, and although I've never seen this specific error, it does look like there's a KB for it:

https://www.veeam.com/kb1697

Hi

Have you checked that there is enough free disk space on all the drives involved here?

Thanks

I can confirm there is enough disk space on the target for the backup, Ive got other backups being made to the same location and there is over 5Tb free and the other backups are working without any issues, its just the one server that wont back up.

Hi SycamoreIT,

I'd recommend retrying the job then if that fails, restart the troubled VMs and retry again. This solution always works for us. Now and then we'll see this error typically on DCs but also on other VMs too...the VSS Writer just gets bogged down or stuck.

I'd also recommend upgrading to v9 update 1.
