Hello,

A customer is looking into upgrading the client workstations to Office 2016.

I've reviewed some documents to verify.  I am however seeing conflicting information.

This TechNet document does not list Outlook 2016 as a compatible version.

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/845.outlook-versions-supported-by-exchange-200720102013online.aspx

This other TechNet article indicates that Outlook 2016 is supported as an Exchange 2013 client

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623(v=exchg.150).aspx

Could you please clarify and confirm.

Thanks in advance.

I looked at the matrix and it's supported with Exchange 2013 sp1 and later

That's an old link for the other one.

I have O2016 working on a 2010 box.
Only issue is you must have your autodiscover records together as you can no longer manually connect to the Exchange box.

Hi,

since it is  written on official technet page, https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623(v=exchg.150).aspx, it is supported.
I have few users in company that have Outlook 2016, and are conecting to our Exchange 2013.

Regards,
Ivan.
