Is Outlook 2016 a supported client for Exchange Server 2013?

A customer is looking into upgrading the client workstations to Office 2016.

I've reviewed some documents to verify.  I am however seeing conflicting information.

This TechNet document does not list Outlook 2016 as a compatible version.

This other TechNet article indicates that Outlook 2016 is supported as an Exchange 2013 client

Could you please clarify and confirm.

Thanks in advance.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I looked at the matrix and it's supported with Exchange 2013 sp1 and later

That's an old link for the other one.

I have O2016 working on a 2010 box.
Only issue is you must have your autodiscover records together as you can no longer manually connect to the Exchange box.
