VMware Datastore Folder Permissions

Hi All,

I was wondering if it was possible to assign permissions for VM Roles to individual datastore folders?  I have created a role and assigned them 'browse datastore' access and they can now open and navigate it.  I would like to further restrict access if possible.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how can it be accomplished?

Kind Regards,

You want to specifically allocate permissions to different datastore folders ?

e.g.

datastore1/folder1 - permissions only for user A
datastore1/folder2 - permissions only for user B

Unfortunately this function does not exist, but you can allocate different permissions on the VM Folder object or Virtual Machine.
