You can try to run some smaller benchmark uploads to check that, for example a 100Mb file. Calculate what the expected time is using the link from Mark, then time the upload and compare.<br />
Remember that this will always be a rough estimate as consumer internet connections are far from stable and rarely offer the advertised speeds consistently.

Say, running an ADSL connection 4Meg download and about 512k upload. Wish to transfer a 20Gig file to remote PC in clud.<br />
How lonng would Google drive take to sync this? Its been syncing for 2 days...<br />
Seems much quicker to upload it with ftp for example.<br />
