iPod nano FM transmitter

I have a iPod nano 7th generation and want to get an FM transmitter for my car.  Can I use the Belkin Tunecase FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack to transmit audio or do I need to buy a transmitter that plugs into the lightning plug?  Also, I have an FM transmitter that I used with my old iPod classic.  It of course is 30 pin connector.  Can you buy the lighting to 30 pin connector and use this arrangement to transmit audio from the iPod 7th gen through car speakers?

Hi
I cant give you all the answers  as I dont have an ipod
but if it helps what I use is a small  mp3 FM transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter , turn it on and tune n the car stereo FM to the transmitter. There is newer models of this now where you can add your ipod and mobile phone, I just use a USB 500 gig stick with all my music on it and it plays through the car speakers it includes a remote control
To show what I mean on amazon
ipod for mp3 fm transmitter

Have a look at these pictures they are mp3 FM transmitter for the car
1. You can and should use the FM transmitter which plugs into the headphone jack and the Belkin Tunecase FM transmitter is perfect for the job.
2. I'd NOT recommend you attempt a 30 pin to lightning adapter for your FM transmitter.  I'd not be sure it would be reliable whereas the headphone jack on your old and new ipods are identical and much more versatile as you can also use it for years to come with ANY device with a headphone jack!!  You can steer clear of Apple's penchant to constantly change connectors ;-)

BTW .. Belkin Tunecase FM transmitter has a usb port on the lighter charger attachment so you can use a USB-Lightning cable to keep the ipod charged too while using the FM transmitter.

So would any fm transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack on the iPod nano 7G work?  I have seen some on eBay that are 10 bucks.
