how to remove Boot It Bare Metal

jsarinana used Ask the Experts™
I installed the latest free version to test on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
I now would like to remove it. If I boot into Boot It and do an uninstall I end up with cannot find NTLDR and will not boot into Windows anymore.
I reinstalled Boot It Bare metal and I can now boot into Windows 7 or Boot IT Bare Metal.
Question How do I uninstall it correctly?

also my disk now three partitions
-V39mb FAT ( I assume this is Boot It Bare Metal)
-Recovery 752mb NTFS
-C: 930gb NTFS

create a recovery cd/dvd and boot it go into the command prompt of the recovery options and run the following:

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot

boot-it bm should be disabled now.

You can perform the same command also from Windows command line. The BootIt puts its loader into MBR and FixMBR simply replaces it with default Windows loader.

Boot-It uninstalls fine if you follow the instructions (see the link from Nobus above).

If you've done something wrong in the process, the issue is almost certainly that you don't have the correct partition marked as Active.    You can either use the FixMBR process in Windows; or just boot to Boot-It BM but CANCEL the initial screen (i.e. do NOT install it); go to Maintenance Mode; go to Partition Work; and set the correct active partition.
