SBS2011 Encrypted folder now clients PCs getting Access Denied
I have just converted a subfolder of an existing server share to encrypted and since doing that all client PCs are getting access denied when trying to open the encrypted files?
Is there some step other than doing the conversion that I have missed.
As a precaution I have disabled the inherited permissions on the subfolder and made sure that Administrators, SYSTEM and Domain Users all have read write permissions but still no joy. Short of unencrypting the folders again I am at a loss as to what to do?
Client PCs are running Windows 10 Pro.

Scott,
I have done this on other SBS boxes and not had this issue before. Normally users can just access the encrypted folders. I assume they get the certificate when they log onto the domain?

Scott,
It's not for regulation of the share it is a regulatory requirement, as my client is an IFA and they are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority here in the UK and it is a requrement that client files (the subfolder holds scans of client documents the business received via the post) are encrypted.

When you did it before was it a subfolder of an existing share, or a complete share being encrypted? Just being Devils advocate...

Scott,
It is a subfolder of an existing share not the whole share.

McKnife,
This worked, I have been able to get the other users seeing the data without the Access Denied error.
Many thanks!

It is much safer to regulate shares with permissions then encryption...
