How are they getting this window to appear in the center of the page?

Hey, guys!

Head out to and click on any of the "add to cart" buttons. When you do, a pop up appears in the middle of the page while the main page behind is veiled behind an opaque grey color. How are they doing this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could use a jquery Plugin such as fancyBox or lightbox!

Darren! This looks great! Do you know if there's an open source equivalent? $19.00 is not a big deal, but while I've got on you the phone, I wanted to ask.

CLick that link to browse through similar plugins that achieve the same result. I didn't realise that fancybox was a premium plugin.

Colorbox is open source and on github!
