"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think the in exchange it should be configured and allowed in outlook. Check this url it is for Exchange 2010 sp1 but still it applies to exchange 2013 as well.

I had a work around. Logged in via OWA and shared the calendar to an external email address like gmail then forward that email to the iphone user and it actually works.
