Malwarebytes software

My OS is win 10 Pro 64 bit and I tried to install the above software from : https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/thankyou/ but I got the error "This application was unable to start correctly (0x0000279) Click OK to close the App.   This EE site is now facing lots of redirects to services I do not want.  My browser if MS Edge.  Can the experts point me where I can a Free copy of this software, as everywhere I go I get redirects or ask to down the Adobe Flash Player, which I have done so from the Adobe site.

When you use chameleon,  run the svchosts file from the chameleon directory.

Also take care with these update messages as they can redirect to sites that look like Adobe but are not

Thank u to all the experts who responded.  I followed your suggestions.  I ran the rogue killer, and the first time it found some issues which I deleted, and the 2nd time, it was clean.  Then on   a laptop I downloaded the chameleon and the malware bytes programs on to a flash drive.  first I  ran the chameleon, but it gave me the same error : The  app is unable to start correctly, (0x0000142).  click OK to close the application.
I also tried the malware bytes and it gave me the same error.  

I am not sure what is wrong and maybe the experts could please spot it and let me know how to fix this problem.

In my last comment I said "If you are still getting an installation error with Chameleon then (and only then) also download RogueKiller to a separate machine and install on the affected one. -  but you seem to have run Rogue Killer first?
looks lijke I have screwed it up.  Is there a fix for this.  Meanwhille, I also downloaded Avast and after the full scan,it did a scan on reboot, and it took more than 8 hours,but the viruses are still there as I still get redirects.  I also ran MS's diagnostic took, but nothing seems to be working.
At this stage I highly recommend a reinstall.  Your installation seems unstable.
If you run RogueKiller you need to try running MBAM Chameleon straight afterwards while RK is still resident in the system memory.  It only holds things at bay while you disinfect, as soon as you restart it's effects are lost.  The error code means something is preventing access to one of MBAMs library files launching.
I ran t rogue killer again. n it showed one issue which will be deleted when a reboot occurs.  So I ran the Chameleon, but I still get the same error, I even tried the malwarebytes and the same result.  After the reboot, I did the  same of running both the softwares, and got the same result.  
Before all this I ran the MS windows Malifcious Removal software tool and although it showed it had removed lkots of stuff.  But I am still at square one,  Please let me know if u have any other ideas.  thank u.

Do you have any System Restore points available from before the infection occurred?
You may be able to do a System Restore (this will not effect your data). Then reset your browsers back to defaults.
Then run MalwareBytes.
in response to akb, I only had one restore point, but was surprised that there were none before that date because I was sure I had more than one.  But it is a good lesson learnt well, with the problem now resolved.  thank u for your inputs.
