ssis excel file open
hi,
I've a scenario where ssis needs to check for a folder where .xlsx files are dropped. Question is that incase the file is open by any user, would the package work. If it doesnot work, I will have to tell everyone not to open it. Or is there a better solution of copying those files to some other location and upload them to db table via ssis?

>>so what you mentioned is copy the files from shared folder (Where users may keep it open) to another location and let SSIS read them and load into db table. Am I correct
Yup, shared folder (Folder A) make a copy to another folder (Folder B), and let SSIS load the files in Folder B into DB
