If you use the Outlook mail client you can setup read receipts and delivery receipts. The read receipt will prompt the recipient to select whether or not to send a receipt. If they click no it still sends you something saying the message was displayed but not an actual read receipt.<br />

Delivery receipts are good to have a record that the message was delivered to them but that's about it.

Yes. I have seen and used Read Receipts. The recipient must OK to return the receipt or it fails.

Thanks. I probably screwed up my comment. What I meant was that if we don't track, we cannot know. &nbsp;But you can track and then you can know if they opened the email.
