Where do you need to do this? &nbsp;Is it during an import from a flat file into a table? &nbsp;Or is it in a table already and you want to split a single field into other fields? &nbsp;Or just in the output of a query? &nbsp;Need a bit more to go on.<br />

Certainly in Access SQL you can use the MID() function to pull out sections of a text field, it appears to be fixed width fields in nature, not delimiter.<br />

Firstly, the space you see between the groupings may actually be a TAB, ...not really a spacebar character(s)<br />

...and the date has two spaces in it...<br />

It would be a lot clearer if you just posted a clear graphical example of the five fields and the data contained in each <br />

The Excel version has the same problem that the &nbsp;text version does so that won't do you any good. &nbsp;stick with the text version. &nbsp;Start with the Split() function and see how far you get.

Then link to the spreadsheet and use DAO to loop through the linked spreadsheet and insert the split data into a table.
