Install vsphere 6 u1 on top of ver. 6 u1
Quick question. One of my customers is wanting to upgrade from vsphere 5.1 to 6.0.
I want to do this remotely using SSH. I've looked at Hancock's guides and it seems pretty straight forward.
But I want to do a "dry run" on my lab. Unfortunately,, I already have 6 u1 on my lab machine.
Question is, is it possible to re-run the offline bundle and have it "install" over the same version?

I'm pretty sure it does.
One thing at a time...I need the actual question answered on an installation on top of the same version. In effect "refreshing" the install.

No problems, if you have internet access from the host to internet, you can upgrade direct from the internet!
Thanks for your kind words about my EE Articles!
Not all servers do.
