Geolocation
When we changed our ISP to Time Warner Cable in December 2013, I noticed on various websites utilizing geolocation services our location was being reported as being located in Madison, Indiana. We are actually in Owensboro, Kentucky. Madison is about 116 miles as the crow flies from Owensboro. I wasn't too concerned about this at the time even though it was obviously wrong.
Now, as time has progressed, more and more web sites are using geolocation to determine where a connection is originating and it's becoming something of a hassle to make sure the correct location is being used (shipping estimates and schedules, for example). I have talked with our ISP and they say they have no control over this. Does anyone know how to go about getting an incorrect geolocation reported and corrected?
