Outlook 2007 setup loop with roaming profiles

EE,

I've read around a couple dozen articles on Outlook issues with Roaming profiles but mostly end without resolution

We have roaming profiles + folder redirection. We roam everything except AppData Local obviously

We have a View virtual desktop environment so users get a new desktop with each login similar to roaming users

Users are having to setup outlook on every new login unless they happen to login to the same desktop by chance

This appears to only happen to users with new roaming profiles logging into View virtual desktop for the first time. People who've already had roaming profiles moving onto the virtual desktops aren't being forced to setup outlook every time. (as far as I can tell) I've disabled fast logon optimization thinking it had to do with not being able to login to the same virtual desktop twice to complete the roam+folder redirects, but the issue persists

Any ideas?

Thanks I do have the templates and thought I set those values to Roam with the profile instead of stay local but I will look at it again and verify

What were you going to say? Changing the location also requires?

The offaIce template provides for changing the location for the Pst is stored, but I've seen it now work including with accounts that are new. Not sure whether the change has to be both on the computer configuration and the user configuration level. In the absence of the GPO applying and enforc the requirement deals with manually relocating the pst o the other location using the mail/outlook account settings changes........
Or relocating and manually configuring the account with the mailbox location .......

It's fixed thanks. I applied that policy but not 100% sure if that was the fix as I applied 5 other group policy settings at the same time so I'm not exactly sure what did the trick. Some of those settings include, wait for roaming profile, wait for network type settings, deleting local profile, don't check ownership of profile and adding administrator to profile
