I'm looking for a way (hopefully free) to spider a website and tell me what pages have a particular string in the code (utag.js). Is there any tool out there I can use?

Is this on the internet, or on your local system?

Use HTTrack.  It can be set to spider pages in a site containing specific code, so long as the code is visible to the spider.

I remember back about 10 years ago, there was a problem that you could view the code and find links in it, however, that was, well, 10 years ago.

The information provided by Jason, might be what I used to use back then.
The downfall, is that you have to download the page to our computer
And then run your query against it.
