Disable Proxy settings via GPO does not work
Hi Experts,
I am trying to configure group policy to disable proxy settings on internet explorer but It's not working.
All the machines on the OU is defaulting to a proxy setting and I am trying to disable it.
User configuration – Policies – Windows Settings – Internet Explorer Maintenance – Connection is not visible anywhere
Can you please assist?

What OS /IE version are you applying this too?
Group Policy Preferences is the best way to apply these settings now for the latest versions of IE...

Hi
The policy is not there , but existing settings from the policy keep returning on a few of the machines in our domain
Its the proxy settings we are trying to stop as we do not use one anymore
Effected users are using IE9,10,11
but it doesn't happen for everyone in the domain groups
is there something stored locally to the machine that would need removing??
