Woocommerce themes

Does anyone have much experience with turning a wordpress template into a woocommerce theme? I was wondering how much grunt was needed to get a really nice result.

I don't suppose you have any experience of woocommerce vs magento in terms of UI? I mean getting UI that a store owner is going to be happy with....
I am a web developer and I do have some experience with WooCommerce yes.

Its tricky to ask these questions, I'm a .net developer but I'm getting asked to do more ecommerce sites, so I don't know which platform to adopt. Magento has masses of themes + the code base seems better documented (I.e. there's actually developer text books on it), but I'm wondering how easy it is to flip a wordpress template to a woocommerce theme.
I think you may be getting confused. WooCommerce is a plugin not a separate system. It feeds off the files of Wordpress and adds its own CSS stylesheets.

Magneto is an actual ecommerce platform that is totally separate. Requires its own database and file storage. Woocommerce is built to use the Wordpress file system.

Right, woocommerce must have a db somewhere...I am out of my comfort zone I confess...does wordpress have an extensive db behind it?
Woocommerce simply adds additional tables to the Wordpress db. It doesn't create its own.
Wordpress does not have a massive db behind it but it does have a decent number of tables.
