wcf vs wev services

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to understand why I can't find the web services project in my visual studio 2012 so the answer I found is that wcf is the one which replace web services.

can someone tell me what is the differences between web services and wcf?
I would like to know if can I still create wev service project in visual studio 2012?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Wev Services? I'm assuming this is a typo and you mean Web Services.

Now, Web Service, as far as I remember, was the name that was given to the WCF Services on previous versions of Visual Studio.
Just choose WCF Service and you'll get the same type of project.
