You may have damaged the power plug data wire. Laptop chargers have an extra wire other than &quot;+&quot; and &quot;-&quot; which helps the laptop recognize the charger type. If that wire gets disconnected, the laptop will refuse to charge the battery...<br />
In windows os it says &quot;Plugged in, but not charging&quot;...<br />

Check the power plug and the power jack (if you opened it)

@Arman - Apple has magsafe connectors - this would not be the issue. <br />

More likely is something disconnected internally that prevents charging.

Will try MagSafe power jack replacement. &nbsp;Its a shot in the dark but worth trying. &nbsp;Aside from that it becomes a paperweight. &nbsp;Fingers crossed!!!

I Still think the board needs replacing or if it works on AC power you may still use it without battery charging function ( charge the battery in another way ??? )

Did it land on the corner where you plug in the magsafe(2) charger? &nbsp;Maybe one of the lines got pulled off the motherboard's copper traces.

The machine works perfectly with the exception it will not charge. &nbsp;I've inserted another battery from another identical laptop and the machine works with the battery inserted but will not charge. &nbsp;When the adapter is inserted it simply stays green versus switching to amber.<br />
