Microsoft have an RDP client for OSX .. available on the App Store
https://itunes.apple.com/ie/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id715768417?mt=12

There's also an alternative app called CoRD which works well too
http://cord.sourceforge.net/

Simply enter the details in a similar manner to using a windows RDP client and you will be up and running in no time

I use Microsoft Remote Desktop, which is mentioned above, available in OSX App Store.

Microsoft also provides a RDP solution for early versions of OSX - RDC Client for Mac 2.1.1. it is also workable on resent versions of OSX.

both are free for Mac users.
I recommend Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store.  It's the only one that can connect to all Versions of Windows by default and it's the only one that supports the additional security verification features.

CoRD can work on older Windows.  To have it work on Windows 10 and Server 2012, you have to disable security settings on Windows 10 and Server 2012.

RDC Client 2.1.1 is obsolete and hasn't been updated for many years.  It will still work on older Windows or, like CoRD, if you disable security on the server side.
