"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When you are dividing by decimals, you must convert it to a whole number first, thus:

100 x 10 = 1000
0.5 x 10 = 5

1000/5 = 200

Think about it like this:  when you divide two numbers, you are saying, "how many occurrences of the bottom number would I have to add together in order to equal the top number?"  So, how many 0.5s would it take to get to 100?
