remote desktop printer for windows 2012 server from windows 7 pc
Hi, just got a new canon printer and users are able to print to it within the office but when they use remote desktop, printer is not there so we have to install the driver onto the windows 2012 remote desktop server they are logging into. What are the correct steps for this? Do they log into the server and then install the driver while in the remote session? Which driver do they install? The one for the client or the one for the 2012 server? Thanks

Ok if i can just install the driver on the remote desktop server that would be easiest i guess so i wont have to log in as one of the users which l probably cant do anyway since you mentioned i have to run the install as admin. We had to disable the "easy print" option on the server to allow one of our label printers to work properly so most likely this is the reason the new canon printer is not showing up in remote desktop even though the driver was loaded on the client machines already.
