Trying to install Ubuntu (bootable from USB....which works) on new Dell (which has Windows 10) to make dual boot. Just won't work!
hi guys,
I've bought a new Dell machine with Windows 10 on there. I'm trying to create a dual boot environment with Ubuntu on there and it just won't work. The bootable USB itself works fine as it loads the installation. But then I get the error 'IniramFS' mounting dev/loop0' when trying that. This is when UEFI mode is on and it is in unsecure boot mode.
Tried all sorts of methods, with secure boot mode and even legacy bios but nothing!
Any ideas what it could be and how to resolve?
Thanks for helping out

Sounds like a plan friends. I'll try that for sure.
Did you think about virtualization? Todays hardware is very good at that, you could run it alongside windows that way. Is it 10 pro or home?
