             For the purpose of editing PDF files within OpenOffice, I will be needing a Oracle PDF Import Extension file.  I did download navigate to http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/en/search?query=oracle+pdf+import+extension and downloaded their latest PDF import extension file.  However, I am unable to add it to my available extensions within OpenOffice.  Could the version of Oracle PDF Import Extension be incompatible with the version of OpenOffice?  Should I consider "downgrading" my version of OpenOffice 4.1.2 to v3 in order to achieve compatibility?  

              Any shared suggestions will be appreciated because I am not quite sure what to do at this point.

An office suite is a collection of bundled productivity software (a software suite) intended to be used by knowledge workers.
