How do I embed an external file to Tumblr?<br />

Tumblr doesn't like it if I paste a URL (i.e. <a href="http://www.myserver.com/video.mp4" rel="ugc">http://www.myserver.com/video.mp4</a>) &nbsp;and (even though it says paste URL)<br />

I wonder what other people do so that their external videos appear in the dashboard, without the user having to actually open the posting.<br />

Tumblr doesn't like it if I paste a URL (i.e. http://www.myserver.com/video.mp4)  and (even though it says paste URL)
if I embed a code ( <iframe src="http://www.myserver.com/video.mp4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> the user has to click on my posting to watch the video - 



I wonder what other people do so that their external videos appear in the dashboard, without the user having to actually open the posting.

I hope someone can assist as I have spent hours searching the web for information, but to no avail.
