Trying to impot Excel file into a table

I have an Excel file that has a column of number that look like this:

1.0000
2.0000

And I'm trying to import them into a table but no matter what format I set that field up in the Access table it ends up looking like:

1
2

I need to import and show the decimals.  What am I doing wrong?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What data type did you declare in the table for that field?
PatHartmanCommented:
Long Integer is the default numeric data type.  Depending on what precision you need and how large the values will be you might use single, double, or currency.

I always use Currency  if I don't need more than four decimal digits since it avoids floating point errors which can be a problem with single and double.  Don't confuse the Currency data type with the Currency format.  The currency format is simply a scaled integer that always has 4 decimal places although you can set the display to fewer if you want.
