Pagefile size on 200R2 Vm

Hi all,

I have a 2008 R2 SQL server (vmware Vm 5.1) that I have allocated 26 GB of RAM to. Ive noticed that the server is now consuming 27GB of disk for the pagefile.

Is there a real need, considering its a VM, to have the pagefile grow to the same as the allocated RAM?

Yes, Pagefiles are required, leave as System Managed,

It does not matter, whether the server is physical or virtual, same rules apply, see the following, and have a read, if you decide to run without a pagefile.
